Poetry Archives: Love The Rose

Love The Rose

Kiss the flower and love the rose
Where it withers or where it grows
As it blooms forth in the spring
Love the rose as if it’s everything

If you pick the rose, treat it well
Nurture it so all can tell
How much you love the pretty bloom
That brightens up your darkest room

All our lives we turn and toil
But rarely do we break the soil
Among golden fields or valleys green
To find the rose of which we dream

Thus when I feel I’m so alone
I go out to where the rose is sown
And I admire all the beauty there
Among the blooms and petals fair
