My Heart In Winter

My heart in winter,
Frozen still,
Beneath eves of solitude,
Cold winds blow until,
The coming of the thaw,
Never does arrive,
My heart in winter,
Barely alive.

My heart in silence,
Beating still,
Making not an echo,
From valley to the hill,
If a heart falls in the snow,
And no one’s there to see,
My heart in winter,
Forevermore to be.

    1. Thank you for the nice words. It is always reassuring and welcome to know that poetry has reached others and touched upon their hearts and souls. Thank you and blessings to you.
